Who we are
This policy applies to the website www.pharmacieproche.com and to the "Pharmacie Proche" mobile apps for Android and iPhone. The data controller is Aboh Ghislain, independent publisher, Côte d'Ivoire. For any question or request about your data: contact@pharmacieproche.com. The service requires no account and is not intended for children under 13. Last updated: 22 September 2026.
Geolocation
The "nearby" search uses your device's location only if you explicitly allow it, when you tap the corresponding button. Your location is sent to our servers just long enough to calculate distances, then immediately discarded: it is never stored, kept or shared. You can withdraw permission at any time in your device settings; the app remains usable without it.
Data stored on your device
Your preferences (country, chosen area, alert status) and a copy of the last listings you viewed, for offline reading, are stored locally on your device. They are only used by the app or browser and are erased when you uninstall the app or clear your browser data. We use no advertising cookies or third-party trackers.
Duty alerts (notifications)
If you enable alerts, a technical notification identifier specific to your device (token) is stored on our servers together with the country and, if chosen, the area concerned. It is used solely to send you on-duty pharmacy updates. To deliver them we use Expo's notification service (Expo, Inc., USA), which relays them to Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) on Android and Apple (APNs) on iPhone. Only the token and the alert text are transmitted to them. You can disable alerts at any time in the app: the token is then deleted from our servers. Tokens that become invalid are deleted automatically.
Reviews
When you post a review, the name you enter, your rating and your comment are published on the facility's listing and may receive a public reply from the facility. The associated IP address is kept solely to prevent abuse (limit of one review per facility per day). Reviews are moderated; each review has a report button. To request the modification or removal of a review, write to us.
Traffic statistics and security
We keep technical visit data (page viewed, country, date, IP address) for audience measurement and security purposes (abuse detection, rate limiting). This data is not linked to your identity, is not shared with third parties and is automatically deleted after 12 months.
Ad measurement
The service is funded by ads from local businesses, served by our own means, with no third-party ad network and no advertising identifier. Banner display is measured with aggregated counters (views and clicks per day). No individual advertising profile is built and no data is passed to advertisers.
Facility managers and advertisers
If you ask to manage your facility's listing or to run an ad, we record the contact details you provide (name, role, phone, e-mail) to process your request and contact you. The photos, opening hours and information you publish are visible to everyone. This data is kept while your access or campaign is active, then for at most 3 years for invoicing and evidence purposes.
External links
The "Directions", "Call" and "Website" buttons open your device's maps app, phone or browser. Those services (for example Google Maps or Apple Maps) are governed by their own privacy policies.
Security
All communications between the app, the website and our servers are encrypted (HTTPS). Data is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd. Access to the administration area is password-protected, logged and restricted to our team.
Your rights
You may at any time request access to, correction or deletion of data concerning you (reviews, management request, alert subscription) by writing to contact@pharmacieproche.com. We reply within 30 days. No data is sold.
